Hi! I’m Lee Levingston Perine, a curator, cultural strategist, and creative producer. Throughout my career, I have created platforms for creatives, especially Black LGBTQ+ creatives, to thrive.
I am always ready to make magic. Let’s chat!
Curator
As a curator, my work centers joy and includes everything from social spaces to community conversations to media.
Cultural Strategist
As a cultural strategist, I collaborate with artists, storytellers, media makers and cultural influencers to work for social change.
Creative Producer
As a creative producer, I focus on creating ideas and producing projects to bring the artist’s vision to life.
“Tomorrow belongs to those of us who conceive of it as belonging to everyone; who lends the best of ourselves to it, and with joy.”
In November 2015, I was recognized as a White House Champion of Change-LGBT Artist. The Champions of Change program was created for the White House to feature individuals who seek to empower and inspire their communities.
In February 2021, I participated in Black & LGBTQ+ at Duke - A Journey in Resilience and Progress. The candid conversation tackled important questions about race, sexual orientation, and gender identity. It was the first-ever joint event hosted by Duke Black Alumni and the Duke LGBTQ+ Network.

In the spring of 2021, I had the honor of being in conversation with Alex Spearman and the legendary Rayceen Pendarvis. Rayceen is an emcee, community advocate, lifelong Washingtonian, and the Muva of Black in Space.
